Good Morning Imbroglios Arrangers of Things,
The two or three of you reading this flotsam couldn’t possibly relate, but please understand I’m probably the only one of us that has shared much the same tragedy and life-threatening events with the Rohingya refugees. Not so much the rape and pillage, rather the taken away part.
At one time or another, I’ve had everything dear to me forcibly ripped away from me. I can remember clearly while clutching my duffle bag (everything I owned could be stuffed into it) as I watched my VW burn to its hubs. This scarred me in much the same fashion as taking a beer away from Duncan by mistake. It’s haunting.
Then I’ll never forget when Mother Nature blew the butterflies into oblivion when released on cue! Oh the horror! I couldn’t sleep for days thinking of their symbolic emergence straight from the cocoon to their immediate deaths….shameful.
Have you ever had your shoes stolen? Some moron took my old comfortable sneakers then put salt in the wound by leaving a worn pair of flip-flops in their place. This is also disturbing. I came home from an extended road trip several years ago to discover I’d been robbed! They took everything! I’m not kidding; they took the curtains, dishwasher, light fixtures, and even the toilet seat. Give me a break!
Of course, this was more desperate than ballsy but this is how we roll! This is what makes ‘Curmudgeon Corner’ such a positive place to be!
